DOWN THE PARK is a story about about rebirth in the Opioid Crisis, of dealing with the pain of death and lost friends and coming to terms with the obstacles life poses. Two friends can’t seem to meet one another and don’t even know why they’re trying to meet. One of them sits on a park bench, waiting, waiting, to see if his friend will come back.
DONNY, a man in his late 30s or early 40s.
MIRIAM, a woman in her 40s or 50s.
MARCO, a man presenting as 17-18.
JOEY, a man presenting as 17-18.
***We may ask you to use a Boston accent.***
This show will PRE-RECORDED for a two-night stream in September.
It will be rehearsed and filmed ON-LOCATION in the central Massachusetts area during the month of July and August.
Rehearsals will occur twice a week for approximately 2 hours at a time.
Actors are welcomed to wear masks if they prefer, but are not required.
Please note: This show deals with the topic of drug addiction and uses strong language that may be upsetting for some actors/viewers.
July 5 & 6 from 7:00-9:00pm -- 30 min. blocks (you only need to attend one)
Auditions will consist of group cold reads from the script (virtually).
